Today we know the true meaning of Passover from the perspective of History.

A group of thirteen men gathered together in a small upper room in Jerusalem. They were celebrating together the Jewish feast of Passover. The dinner conversation was centered on the story of God’s people.

Passover was being redefined. No longer was it simply about redemption from slavery, but redemption from sin.

The Teacher, Jesus, was now the Passover lamb.

This group of men made their way from dinner to a garden outside the city, a beautiful garden on a hill overlooking the Temple. Then in the distance the torches could be seen descending from the city and coming towards them.

Life as they knew it would never be the same!

The holiday of Passover is as much yours as mine. It is a holiday God wants us to remember as the night that history was split in two and the events that led to the redemption of God’s people (Born Again Jews and Born Again Christians) were put into motion at the Fullness of Time according to the plan of God.

The purpose of the meal was planned in eternity past within the Trinity so that a true SEEKER of God would be able to understand that the Coming Messiah, the Christ is contained in the elements of the Passover Meal.

The meal is an offering of Remembrance to Almighty God and His Super Natural Miracles of deliverance. But the main parts of the meal, the cup and the bread are there to call to Remembrance the ONE who drank the cup of sin, the ONE whose blood cleanses each of us who believe, the ONE who was born in the City of Beth-lehem…the City of Bread….Yeshua, whose Name means SALVATION…who IS HIMSELF the very Bread of Life…the Son of God.

TIME is almost Over. The DAWN of ETERNITY is Here; and the SON of GOD is Coming Back to take HIS OWN to HEAVEN. You know this Moment in Time as the RAPTURE…..its SOON…..VERY SOON.

The simple fact is that Jesus STANDS on the Foundation of Old Testament Messianic Prophecies. When you study only the Birth, Death, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus you only have half of the Greatest Story Ever Told. ALL BELIEVERS have Jewish Roots…..because JESUS has JEWISH ROOTS.

Jesus Himself said:

Luke 24:44 “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”

Luke 24:27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

The Old and New Testaments are not two books. Together they are both Scripture that GOD BREATHED. The BIBLE is ONE BOOK that contains the Greatest Story Ever Told. Beware of the final chapter, for the 1ST Coming FALSE MESSIAH, the Anti-Christ comes first.

BEFORE you can effectively witness you need a working knowledge of Jesus. And you need to know the details of HIS life from a Jewish perspective. This dimension of our Lord as a Jew seems to have been forgotten by the Christian community. To know Him as the Christ of the Cross-, is the Christian perspective.

But the picture of Yeshua / Jesus is not complete until you understand the prophecies of His coming in the Old Testament. He came first as the Jewish Messiah and His Cross was planted deep into the Judean soil. So here is some information that will help you to know Him better not just as Jesus the Christ but as Yeshua the Messiah of Israel.

Gen: 3:15     Who is the seed (offspring) of the woman who crushes the head of Satan?

Gen: 12:2     Who is the seed of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob that will bless Thru 22:18 all nations?

Deut: 18:15   Who is the Prophet like Moses of whom God says, “You must Listen to him.”

Psalm 22       Who is the one crucified?

Isa 9:6-7     Who is the child that is God and will have an everlasting kingdom?

Isaiah 53     Who was crushed and pierced for our transgressions so th we would be healed by His wounds; upon whom did the Lord lay the iniquity of all mankind?

Jere 23:5,6   Who is the righteous Branch, the wise king, who will be called  “The Lord Our righteousness?”

Dan 9:24-27   Who is the “Anointed One” to be “Cut Off” (karat=executed), prior to 70 A.D.

Micah 5:2     Who is the one who is eternal, who will be ruler over Israel, who is born in Bethlehem (Ephratah)? “From you (Ephratah), One Will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long Ago, from the days of eternity.

Zech 12:10   Who is Jehovah, “The one they have pierced”, for whom Jerusalem And all the nation of Israel will weep and mourn?

Indeed WHO is God speaking about?

DID YOU KNOW THE OLD TESTSAMENT MAKES IT CLEAR THAT GOD HAS A SON?

Isaiah 7:14   Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a Son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:6     For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the Government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be call HIM Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Ps 2:6-12     He said to Me, Thou art My Son, Today I have begotten Thee. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Thine inheritance and the very ends of the earth as Thy possession…………Do homage to  the Son, lest He become angry, and you perish in the way………How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

Prov.30:4     Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, Surely, you know?

Zechariah Prophesied in 9:9 about the Messiahs Entrance into Jerusalem on the Foal of a Donkey. Then Luke documents the same in Ch. 19: 39-40 “And some of the Pharisees in the multitude said to Jesus, Teacher rebuke your disciples! And Jesus answered …I tell you, if these become silent the stones will cry out!”

Did you catch that thought?…even the Stones know the NAME of JESUS. They have Faith in Jesus, They Pray to Jesus, They Know HE IS GOD.

Then how much more should those of us who are the Living Stones of His Church… KNOW HIM…and OBEY HIM.

Forget the 4 Questions of Passover except…ONE !

Why is this night different than all other nights?
Now ask your rabbi to answer the following questions.

WHY does the Matzah Bag have 3 Compartments?

WHY use unleavened (sinless) bread that is striped, pierced, broken
wrapped in linen and Hidden?

WHY is the word Afikoman the only Greek word in the Haggadah
that means HAS ARRIVED?

WHY is the Afikoman broken in half then hidden for children to find?

WHAT is the true meaning of the Cup of Redemption?

I am a Messianic Jew and you are a Jew. The only difference between us is WHO we believe the MESSIAH IS. I have never stopped being Jewish.

God established the holiday of Passover, so that the Jewish people would remember all HIS Mighty Works like providing a way to safety through walls of water.

Later in history, someone came to the Nation of Israel walking out of the pages of the Prophets. HE came and not only Walked ON Water, but told the Storm to BE STILL…and the Storm obeyed HIM.

The Bible is a love story about Gods great love for His children and the ultimate sacrifice of His Son (Proverbs 30:4) for you, so someday you can go to heaven.

The Bible is ONE book.
With ONE HERO….Jesus.
With ONE Villain….Satan.
With ONE Theme….Salvation.
With ONE Purpose….to Glorify Almighty GOD.

“Do not forget me, O my children, says the Lord”. Don’t forget HIM this Tuesday.

Just as the blood of the sacrificial lamb covered the doorpost protecting those inside. So too must the Blood of the Lamb cover your heart to protect you from the wrath of GOD.

… that within the Hebrew names of a genealogy in Genesis 5 in the Old Testament, He would hide the New Testament Plan of Redemption. (Salvation, bought for all through the death of Gods Son, Yeshua!).

ADAM… man (is) SETH… appointed ENOSH… mortal
KENAN… sorrow (but)… MAHALALEL The Blessed God
JARED… shall come down ENOCH… teaching
METHUSALEH… His Death Shall Bring LAMECH… the despairing
NOAH…comfort and rest.

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow (but) The Blessed God shall come down teaching, HIS DEATH Shall Bring the despairing comfort and rest.

Remember, History is His Story, the story of Christ. That story is hidden in the Old Testament and Revealed in the New Testament.

Each one of us needs to see Yeshua / Jesus as God’s Passover Lamb who died and shed His blood for us and atoned for us so that we can pass over from death to a new life with the Living God.

For Centuries the Passover Seder ended with a shout of Next Year in Jerusalem. Well, the Jewish people now have Jerusalem and the new cry is Messiah Come Now. They cry out for the coming of their Messiah.

We also wait for Him and look forward to the New Jerusalem, the city of God from heaven where we will enjoy the feast of Salvation with our Messiah someday soon.

Israel is God’s prophetic time clock. The Lord said we would not know the day, but we would know the signs of the times. It is time to be looking upward to heaven……because our redemption……The Lord Yeshua the Messiah……Jesus the Christ…….Yeshua, The Lamb Of God……IS Coming Soon.

Its not the end of the world like we often hear, but a new world and a new beginning for those of us that Love The Lord Yeshua !

Some Thoughts About GOD, His SON and My People Israel

Phillip Yancey: “You don’t know what it’s like out here!” Job was most brazen, flinging to God this accusation: “Do you have eyes of flesh? Do you see as a mortal sees?

Of the many reasons for Incarnation, surely one was to answer Job’s accusation: Do you have eyes of flesh?
…For a time, God did.

God is not mute: the Word spoke, not out of a whirlwind, but out of the human larynx of a Palestinian Jew”.
That Jew IS Jesus, The Messiah of Israel and the Christ of His Church.

The Jews are the topic of the entire Old and New Testaments:

Genesis to Deuteronomy: God chooses the Jewish nation as His eternal chosen people.

Joshua to Ester: God gives the Jewish nation their land. Land that is His to give, His alone to give!

Psalms to Malachi: God declares the past, present and future of the Jewish nation through His Promises to them.

Matthew to Jude: God uses the Jewish people as His Ambassadors to proclaim His anointed Messiah through the Jewish Apostles.

Revelation: God finishes His earthly plan for the Jewish nation and ushers them forth to take their pre-destined place in eternity.

The Nation of ISRAEL

No other nation on earth has been destroyed and scattered to the four corners of the globe, and then re-gathered as the focus of world attention.

No other nation declares by its re-emergence in time, that there is a God who deserves to be feared and loved and obeyed.

No other nation exists as a declaration to the world that in the records of her history, we find our roots and in the predictions of her prophets we find our future.

Genesis 5 and the Messiah

THE GOSPEL
HIDDEN WITHIN A GENEALOGY IN GENESIS 5 !

The Jewish rabbis for centuries have looked into the Bible for prophetic clues that would help them understand God and the coming of the Messiah.

The rabbis have said, “they will not understand the Scriptures until the Messiah comes. But when He comes, He will not only interpret each of the passages for us, He will interpret the very words; He will even interpret the very letters, in fact, He will even interpret the spaces between the letters!”

Jesus in Luke 24:13 on the Emmaus road did just that. The two disciples were depressed that the Messiah was killed.
“Jesus said to them “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter His glory? “And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.”

Jesus said in Matthew 5:17-18,“Think not that I have come to destroy the Torah and the prophets; I have not come to destroy but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

Hidden within Genesis 5 is the oldest prophecy that God established regarding His eternal plan of redemption for mankind. The Genealogy of names in Genesis 5 is the first place you will find the Gospel, the Good News that we as believers are commanded to preach to our friends, neighbors and loved ones.

Every Hebrew letter or number has a meaning. In our Bible we read Hebrew names, but what do they mean in English? When we interpret the meaning of each of these 10 Hebrew names (Adam through Noah), they form the most fascinating sentence in the entire Bible.
Adam……………………………man (is), Seth……………………………..appointed, Enosh……………………………mortal, Kenan…………………………sorrow (but),  Mahalalel……….The Blessed God, Jared……………………shall come down, Enoch…………………………teaching, Methusaleh……..His Death Shall Bring, Lamech…………….. the despairing, Noah…………………….comfort and rest.

How awesome is God, that within the Hebrew names of a genealogy in the Old Testament, He would hide HIS New Testament Plan of Redemption . (Salvation, bought for all through the death of Gods Son, JESUS !).

There is no way that a group of Jewish rabbis would conspire to hide the Christian Gospel within their venerated Torah! It’s a gift from GOD, a reward to the diligent “Born Again” student of our Supernaturally Inspired Old and New Testament Scriptures.

Remember, History is HIS Story, the story of Christ. That story is hidden in the Jewish Old Testament and Revealed in the Jewish New Testament.

New Years Resolution 2014

New Years Resolution 2014

Our culture’s worldview is one of despair. The two markers representing our life during this short journey thru time are the date of our birth and the date of our death.

Between these two markers we walk the road of despair called life.

If you listen to our educational systems teaching about the subject of Origins you will come to understand that our lives can only be a cosmic accident. These teachings come from a “Faith-Based” system built on the theory (not fact) of evolution.

Evolution simply stated says we live lives of no meaning, and no accountability until we reach our destiny which is too die, be annihilated, buried into the dirt, chemically broken down as nutrients that go back into the ground and reunited to the food chain from which we came from. Is that your DESTINY?

This goes against everything we feel deep within us. If evolution is true then why during this life do we cry out to empty heavens, to some force we think is higher than us, for meaningfulness? Our cries go up daily for help, but to whom?

All we hear is the echo of our own hollow voices because if you believe in evolution that’s all there is…hollow word’s from hollow people.

Evolution represents the Ascent of Man to a higher plane. Have you noticed lately that man is not ascending, but descending back to his supposed animal behavior both young and old alike?

Your ultimate glory, the apex, the pinnacle of your existence as part of mankind is to go “back to the dust from which you came” into the meaningless, darkness of nothingness.

Part of the later statement sounds Biblical, doesn’t it the part about being dust?
How sad, the only joys we have between these two life markers, birth and death, is a new car, a bigger house, a better job, living out our sexual fantasy’s that cause pain to our loved ones, gaining power over others to elevate our own importance.

A wise man named Solomon once said, “Vanity, Vanity…all is Vanity.” Mankind’s beginning and ending is to develop pride to its ultimate end, vanity. Then be no more.

We live for pride, for vanity, because we crave significance. We want respect, and we want dignity. But, if we have no meaning because we are a cosmic accident then where oh where do we find an answer?

That answer can only be found in the Truth. But to recognize the Truth you must first understand the Lie. You will find the Truth in Scripture, the Bible…the Words of the True GOD. And the Bible will equip you to recognize the LIE that is coming, so you will recognize it and not place your faith in it.

So make your New Years Resolution to open the only book written where you will find YOU written on its pages. Yes you are part of the Greatest Story Ever Told that speaks of the Beginning and the Ending of TIME and the automatic rebirth of the earth, nature, and the universe for an Eternity with GOD.

Yes you too will be re-born to eternal life with GOD or eternal life without GOD. The Angels that fell from Grace have no choice but will go to the place where GOD is not for eternity.

You are fortunate because you have a choice to make. Spend time in the Word of God this year so you can answer the most important question in the Bible that came from the lips of Jesus, the Christ. You will meet HIM personally, face to face in the future. Your answer will determine where you spend eternity.
