However due to the ongoing Rescue Mission, the battles are still intense!
Paradox – “a seemingly contradictory statement that may, none-the-less be true.” How can the war be over if the battles still rage? The war started and time began. The war is now won, but the battles will continue till time is no more.
When Jesus ROARED the words from His Cross, “IT IS FINISHED”, it was finished for HIM, but not for us, the Eklesia (the called out ones). He made it clear that for each of us there would be a cross to bear, if we truly followed Him. There is but one thing that proves you’re a follower of Jesus and that is to be obedient and do what He asked you to do. Which is simply to tell His Story.
Many people tell me they witness by the way they live their life. Most people walk the talk, but few know how to talk during their walk. Your family and friends are not saved seeing your walk. They are saved, through the work of the Holy Spirit by hearing your TALK about Jesus and the Cross and their need for Redemption.
What is Truth?
One of the most thought provoking statements made in the Bible was not by any prophet, or an apostle, or even our Lord. The statement was made by Pontius Pilate during the trial of Jesus. Jesus said, “For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth hears my voice.” Pilate, in return said “What is Truth?” Think of it… Jesus…THE TRUTH…was called a liar!
We Christians stand on a firm foundation of faith. We do not place our trust for salvation and heaven into myths or fairy tales or legends. Christianity, our faith in the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Messiah is based on FACTS, facts that are affirmed in History, Archeology and Science….but most of all in PROPHECIES that have ALL come True and will continue to do so, until the LAST SENTENCE of the PRE-WRITTEN HIS-STORY of GOD comes to it’s END.
Yes my friend you are written into every Prophecy and on every PAGE of the Judeo/Christian Bible. Why because You are Part of Mankind.
John Eldredge wrote a book called “Waking the Dead”. The message of the book is about 3 Eternal Truths:
- Things are not what they seem to be.
- A unseen battle has been under way since the garden of Eden.
- We (you and I) have a crucial role to play in Gods plan.
His book sums it up in one sentence; “you are not what you think you are. There is a glory to your life that you’re Enemy Fears. He is Hell-Bent on destroying that glory (Christ’s light) before you realize you have it and act on it.”
As a follower of Jesus you and I have our marching orders and that means getting into the battle for the minds, hearts and souls of your loved ones and people you know. At a time when many churches are becoming more and more like the world, our goal is to be conformed more and more to the standard set forth in Scripture.
- Jesus clearly and unashamedly affirmed the utter exclusivity of Christianity.
- Passivity toward known error is not an option for the Christian.
- Scripture commands us to be intolerant of any idea that denies the Truth.
- The ground between us and them is NOT neutral. If we really believe the Word of God is true, we know that everything opposing it is error. And we are to yield no ground whatsoever to error.
God has commanded us as followers of Jesus to always have an answer to the faith that is in us. That requires preparation for battle. The Scripture is alive, it was written by God to reveal Himself. It is the only authoritative and absolutely reliable record of man’s origin, dilemma, salvation and destiny. It serves as man’s only moral and spiritual standard. God inspired every word of the original manuscripts, and they were without error in every detail.
The Bible is the only completely trustworthy source of knowledge about God. Man cannot learn all he needs to know about God from human reason, philosophy or even experience. God alone is the source of the knowledge about Himself, and He has chosen to reveal Himself in the Bible and in no other book.
3 things to remember:
Don’t be afraid:
Too many of us are afraid to witness to people.
Too many of us are intimidated by non-believers.
Too many of us have weak faith and live in anxiety.
We forget who we are in Christ.
We forget that the Battle is His.
We forget that the Ending has been written and WE are on the Winning Side.
Don’t be ashamed:
Don’t ever be ashamed to say the name of the one who died for you. Don’t ever be afraid to defend HIM when people or worse your friends misuse HIS name. Don’t ever be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
To be with you, always…in every situation. The Battle is already won. No one can hurt you. The Bible says “if God is for you, who can stand against you!
Jesus bought and paid for you…your orders are clear…don’t stand on the sidelines…get into the Battle.
